Jim Budreau tries about five complex cases a year in both state and federal courts and regularly litigates cases before appeals courts throughout the country. Jim’s reputation as a successful and effective trial lawyer and appellate advocate over the last twenty years translates into effective results regardless of whether your case is tried or resolved through negotiations. Criminal Practice Represents clients at all stages of criminal litigation. Cases range from homicide, major felonies and narcotic prosecutions to complex white collar, fraud and other business related conspiracies. Jim’s successes includes winning state homicide cases and complex federal conspiracy trials and appeals in Boston, throughout Massachusetts and out of state. Successful strategies include use of psychologists, computer analysts, financial experts and other forensic experts. Litigation and Employment Law Practice includes strategy, general litigation services and appeals for employment related case. Jim, who taught an Employment Litigation course at Harvard Law School, has successfully resolved discrimination, unfair terminations, contract disputes, stock contracts, fraud allegations, and privacy violations on behalf of clients. Appeals and Post Conviction Practice includes civil and criminal appeals and other post conviction stages including motions for a new trial and writs of habeas corpus.
